About the role
Are you passionate about software development and interested in developing your career in the vibrant world of mobile and tablet development?
Would you like the opportunity to work on some of the most successful App properties in the world and to learn from a very experienced iOS development team?
Joining our team as Apps Developer you’ll be tasked with building Future’s mobile and tablet applications, including Apple’s Newsstand. You’ll help devise, design, implement and test Apps through the full life cycle. Working closely with editorial, design and web teams to maintain and update existing Apps, help flesh out ideas and assist in writing specifications and create new Apps. You will be responsible for ensuring that this is on time and within budget as well as in line with business requirements.
About You
You may be a recent computer science graduate, familiar with either c-based language, or Java/C# overall, you’ll be passionate about programming and willing and able to learn new languages and platforms.
Previous experience with a mobile platform, iOS or Android is preferred and you must have a good understanding of web service protocols, REST,XML and JSON.
You will also have demonstrable experience of website and software development, in any language.
It is essential that you have good verbal and written communication skills to communicate at all levels across the business. A team player you will be keen to take on a variety of projects and work to tight deadlines.
