Reports To: UK MD
Overall Objectives
• Develop new business from both existing and new clients, across all the companies channels
• Be responsible for the performance and development of the whole UK sales team
• Be responsible for driving and implementing sales systems and processes across the UK business
• Support all UK sector and product heads in delivery of their sales targets
Key Responsibilities
• Maximize the revenue growth of the UK business within budgeted resources
Operate with a strong commercial awareness in order to manage risk and ensure sales
growth is profitable and balanced across products in line with company strategy
o Ensure client satisfaction and represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at
all times
• Develop overall sales & marketing strategy in conjunction with Management Team
o Plan, prioritise and lead sales activity across the UK business to meet agreed targets
• Organize, motivate and inspire the sales teams to ensure outstanding productivity and performance
o Ensure the matrix structure of the sales team is managed effectively, resolving conflicts and
ensuring accountability and targets are clear for all sales personnel
o Monitor calls and call logs for compliance to process and procedures and ensure that the
correct quantity and quality of calls are made on a daily basis.
o Drive performance management process including regular performance reviews
o Adhere to absence management in line with company procedures
o Develop, manage and monitor sales incentive schemes
o Lead by example, that is to meet and exceed personal sales targets and to demonstrate to
the team how to sell
o Attend and present at external client meetings and internal meetings as necessary to
perform duties and aid business development
• Manage and monitor sales performance by developing systems for regular reporting of key
performance indicators
o Drive development and adoption of CRM system across the business
o Analyse data and identify improvement areas in process and procedures
o Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant management
reports
o Ensure all reporting and management requests are accurate and delivered on time.
• Work in conjunction with Product and Sector Heads to agree targets in each product area and
monitor and manage performance to ensure targets are achieved
o Develop systems and processes to encourage high sales performance throughout the
business including use of CRM systems and management of sales incentive schemes
• Build the sales team capabilities and skills through recruitment, sales training and development
o Manage the recruitment of new staff in conjunction with HR
o Ensure the sales team have adequate and appropriate training, identify training needs and
deliver appropriate support through on-job coaching
o Conduct appraisals in line with company process
o Plan resource to ensure achievement of required service levels across team and department
Experience Required
This role requires a strong and experienced people and sales manager with outstanding negotiation and
client handling skills, confident when managing a team as well as able to motivate and develop a team to the
highest standard.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing sales teams as well as experience of
dealing with:
• Senior decision makers, up to Marketing Director and CEO level
• High account relationship values up to and exceeding £1m
• Closing sales for telesales executives
• Excellent track record of hitting personal and team targets
• Experience of interviewing, mentoring and managing a telesales team

Education and Qualifications
• Educated up to at least degree / HND level
• Fluent written and spoken English
